Rail Australia - Explorer Pass

Eligibility:
The Queensland Explorer Pass is designed for sales to overseas visitors of Australia. Proof of non-Australian residency may be required - passport, drivers licence, home address, etc can be used to verify this.

Validity:
The Queensland Explorer Pass is valid for unlimited travel over a one or two month period, which starts on the day the pass is validated (first day of actual travel).

When booking you can select a first date of travel that is up to 6 months in the future. Travel must commence within one month from this anticipated start date, otherwise the pass expires and becomes non-refundable.

Conditions of use:

REFUNDS:
- Once the voucher has been exchanged for the actual travel pass that is issued in Australia, no refunds can be processed. Prior to this, full refund is applicable, minus a AUD $35 (or approximate equivalent based on currency) cancellation fee.
- Refunds are at the discretion of ACP Rail International, based on the following conditions. The client must send the original ticket back undamaged.
- Refunds must be submitted to ACP Rail International at least 5 days prior to the departure of the reserved train.
- Processing fee, outlet commission and shipping fees are not refundable.


FEES AND CHARGES:
Additional Fuel Surcharges apply on all Great Southern Rail trains on reservation and a surcharge applies for travel on the Cairns Spirit of Queensland.

LOST TICKETS:
There is no refund for lost or stolen tickets.

You will receive an exchange voucher by mail, which can take 3 to 5 days to process before shipping. Please present the exchange voucher at a Travel Centre or Ticket Office exchange location in Australia, prior to commencing your first journey. At this time, the voucher will be exchanged for your actual travel pass.

Purchase of a Queensland Explorer Pass does not guarantee that the holder will be able to obtain accommodation on any long distance rail service. Reservations are essential on these services.
