Rail Australia - Discovery Pass

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility:
The Discovery Pass is available to everyone.

Validity:
The Economy Discovery Pass is valid for unlimited travel in economy seating. A Premium Discovery Pass is now also available for customers wishing to travel first class, when available. Travel for both passes is valid on on NSW Trainlink (CountryLink) services throughout New South Wales, over a 14 day, one, three or six month period, which starts on the day the pass is validated (first day of actual travel) and expires at midnight on the last day.

Your first journey needs to be booked a month from the date that you bought the rail pass. Seat reservations must be made in advance as the Discovery Pass pass itself does not guarantee a seat.

The passes are issued to and accepted by the person named on the ticket, subject to the railways acts, by-laws, regulations and General Conditions of Carriage in force in each railway system to which the travel applies.
The passes are valid for use on specified rail and coach services operated by NSW TrainLink in Economy or First class seats, depending on which pass you have purchased.
Cannot be used in conjunction with the "Child Pays a $1" fare.
Not valid on NSW TrainLink Intercity or Sydney Train services, except when traveling in conjunction with a connecting NSW TrainLink regional service. Not valid for travel on Great Southern Railway, Queensland Travel Train or Melbourne Met services.
The holder may upgrade to travel in First Class seats and sleeping berths on payment of the applicable upgrade amount.
A reservation is essential prior to the use of the pass and entitles the passenger to only one allocation on any service. The travel pass is a receipt only and does not guarantee travel. A reservation for each individual sector of travel is necessary to obtain a valid travel ticket.
NSW TrainLink luggage policy applies.

After completing an online booking, please allow up to 4 business days for your order to be processed. An email confirmation with your E-ticket will follow.

Conditions of use:
REFUNDS:
